This is my city.  I have lived in Oshkosh since I was one year old.  I’ve raised my family and continue to run a successful business here.  The new mayor will set the course for Oshkosh for years to come.  I can see what that course should be and want to ensure we are on the right path.

We, as a city, have made great progress in rebuilding downtown, establishing modern industrial parks and making our neighborhoods safe and attractive.  More work remains.  As the west side of the city continues to grow, it creates the need for more infrastructures.  To help relieve our current traffic congestion, we need to begin planning for a state funded west side highway connecting Highways 21 and 26.  We also need to work with housing developers to identify land on the west side to be used for family oriented parks.

We must support and encourage regional industries such as education, medical and tourism.  Not only will this bring outside dollars into Oshkosh, but also greater employment diversity to our citizens.  Before piecemeal waterfront development makes it impossible, we must move aggressively on implementing the Fox River Corridor plan, a looped waterfront path.  Doing so will guarantee both citizens and tourists a greater access to our wonderful waterfront.

I have served on the city council for 8 years and as mayor for two.  I have spent my life serving this community, not only as a worker but also a leader.  I supply the proven leadership needed to keep Oshkosh moving forward.
