Over the next few months, the Oshkosh Community News Network, in conjunction with the Oshkosh Public Library and the UW Oshkosh Photo Club, will be sponsoring a series of photo contests to encourage participation in the Oshkosh@151 project.

We are currently accepting entries in the people category.

The winner will be selected in a two-step process. An online poll will allow everyone in the community to vote for their favorite photos. The top vote-getters will then be reviewed by the student members of the UW Oshkosh photo club, and they will award the prize to the photo they view as most worthy.

You can enter in several different ways. The first way is to use the online form that can be found here. In the description field (Item No. 4), be sure to tell us that this is an entry in the people photo contest.

You can also mail prints to OCNN at 1789 River Mill Road, Oshkosh, WI 54901. We will scan the prints to make digital copies. We'll be happy to send the prints back to you as long as you provide a self-addressed, stamped envelope.

All of the photos will become part of a permant archive at the Oshkosh Public Library, but photographers will retain all rights to their images.
